Osteopathy for Horses :-

Dr Andrew Taylor Still (1828-1912) of Missouri, was the founder of Osteopathy. He believed that the body was self - healing and that the tissues of the body needed a healthy, continuous nerve and blood supply if it were to function correctly. The system of manipulation he devised was intended to realign the body of any abnormalities. This has now been adapted for use on horses. The treatment includes soft tissue massage, and manual techniques of adjustment on the horse. Equine Osteopaths have had lots of success treating a wide range of musculoskeletal problems of the horse.
