Clicker Training

Clicker Training for Horses :-

This training method was first developed for use on large marine mammals. Many dog trainers have since adopted the method with huge success. Its crossover to the equine training world is relatively recent. But this has not stopped it rapidly growing in popularity. The “clicker” works as a marker or bridge signal that lets the

horse know he has done the correct behaviour and a reward (food!) will follow. It can take as little as ten minutes for your horse to work this out and then he really starts to think about his actions and what he can do next to earn another treat. Just the sight of a bum bag, target stick etc can get the horse running to his owner for his next training session!

"A good question is never answered. It is not a bolt to be tightened into place but a seed to be planted and to bear more seed toward the hope of greening the landscape of ideas." - John Anthony Ciardi
