Venue: Horsehay Farm, Duns Tew Road, Middle Barton, Oxon, OX7 7DQ

Essential Oil Therapy for Animals is the use of essential oils and hydrosols to promote optimal health and aid recovery from disease. The therapy combines traditional knowledge with modern scientific thinking, offering a natural choice for relief of many common physical and behavioural problems in animals such as allergies, arthritis, skin and hoof conditions, hormonal imbalances, respiratory infections, digestive disorders and wounds. Learn the basics of this wonderful therapy so that you can use it at home on your animals safely and effectively. This one-day workshop is aimed at animal owners and will explore commonly used essential oils, dilution and application and how to choose essential oils using kinesiology. This is a hands-on experience with live demos and a chance to select oils for an animal of your choice. The day provides a good overview for those wishing to take part in the diploma course in Essential Oil Therapy for Animals, commencing June 2006.

Stress - in depth 1 day Workshop
Date: Sunday 26th March 2006 Time: 9.30am -5pm
Venue: Horsehay Farm
Tutors: Nick Thompson MRCVS and Nayana Morag
Cost: Full members £60, associate members £65, non-members £75

This workshop will look in detail at how stress affects bodily systems and psychological function. What is the cause of stress? Why do things stress some animals and not others? We will also examine our pre-conceptions of stress (e.g. Is it always bad?) and offer a close up look at recognising stress in animals, using live 'models' and photographic evidence. Then we will offer natural ways to relieve stress in domestic animals particularly the horse and dog. For more information, or to register for either of these workshops, please reply to this email info@geota.co.uk or contact Lorretta on 01869 349813. Full details and directions to Horsehay Farm will be sent you with confirmation of your place. Please book early to avoid disappointment!
