Find a therapist in your region:-

"Show me a man who has no pity on his horse and I will show you one who is a cruel husband, if he is married - a tyrannical parent, if he has children - a man that would be Nero if he had the power. He is a coward by nature and a fiend by practice." - George Eliot
The Alternative Horse Society:
We aim to provide a directory of professional, dedicated therapists,
trainers and holistic methods of horse management.
To help the horse loving public find the correct therapist for them and
their horse.
To promote the trainers wherever possible and support them in their work.

Claire Short
Ashgrove Animal Health
Osteopathy is not just about backs! Many
difficulties for horses
can be related to physical problems: rearing, unusual behaviour
patterns,
sudden reluctance to jump or extend, difficulties cornering,
uneven muscle
tone, all of these may respond to osteopathic treatment.
During a session Claire would expect to examine your horse
at walk and
trot before doing any hands-on work, and would then conduct
a full
examination of the body, not just of the back. When appropriate
Claire may
also consider taking a video of you riding your horse to see
how the two of
you work together.
Claire is registered with the General Osteopathic Council
and also treats
cats, dogs and the occasional sheep!
